Rover ERA Mini Turbo suspension refresh and more

In 1988, the CEO of E.R.A. (Engineering & Research Applications) set out to build the fastest Mini available to the world – through official dealers. After a successful meeting with Austin-Rover – ERA was in charge of the project and construction, preparation and development of the Mini ERA – with Austin-Rover supplying the bodies, the parts and marketing it through their dealers. The result was a luxurious, reliable Mini that stood out from the rest of the crowd.

Although it may look like the Mini ERA only received exterior upgrades – underneath required an endless amount of hours calculating and developing the Mini ERA to perform like no other existing Mini.

To make this happen – a few of the alterations and adjustments to the body were made – such as the widened fenders, air-scoop in the bonnet, and the firewall cut to house the turbo unit.

The handling included a lower ride height, and camber to ensure the best handling with the amount of power – which produced 94hp from the 1275cc A-Series engine from the MG Metro Turbo – with a total of only 436 Mini ERA Turbos produced, this is one rare and special classic Mini.
