Restoring the Roar of a Renault Megané R26.R at VVM

We were excited to see this beauty roll into our VVM workshop the other day - a Renault R26.R, one of the most iconic hot hatches of the modern era. The owner had brought it in because they were experiencing a bit of a stuttering issue under acceleration, and they wanted our vintage vehicle experts to take a look.

For the uninitiated, the R26.R is a very special version of the Renault Megané. Renault took the already impressive Megané platform and dialled everything up to 11 - more power, less weight, sharper handling. The result was a true driver's car, a lightweight, track-focused weapon with a thrilling 2.0-litre turbo engine pumping out 230 horsepower.

With its aggressive body kit, adjustable suspension, and spartan, race-inspired interior, the R26.R is the kind of car that puts a massive grin on your face every time you get behind the wheel. The steering is so communicative, the chassis so beautifully balanced, that you feel utterly connected to the road. It's a true driver's machine through and through.

So when this particular R26.R pulled into our workshop, you can bet our team of vintage vehicle experts got right to work trying to get to the bottom of that stuttering issue. After a thorough inspection and some diagnostic testing, they were able to identify and resolve the problem, restoring the R26.R's thrilling acceleration.
